Biggest Flaw: Holding on to the past: Hayden doesn't like to consider himself a grudge-holder, but when it comes down to it, depending on the situation, he can be. And even when he's not holding grudges, in general, it's hard for him to just let go of things sometimes. It's not an entirely invasive thing, but it can be a bit problematic at times.

Overall: Hayden is a genuine kind of person and has a very caring nature about him. He's always been that way, very kindhearted and always willing to lend a helping hand. He is a bit old fashioned in some ways, very polite and mild-mannered in all the right settings.

He has always been a very charming guy, able to talk himself into (and out of) just about any situation he needed (or wanted) to. Professors liked him because he actually interjected real, intellectual comments into the class discussions; girls fell for him whether he tried or not; and people, as a general rule, either love him because they fall for the charm, or hate him because they assume it's all a facade. However, Hayden is the furthest thing from fake as one can probably get.

Hayden is nothing if not reasonable and reliable. He has his head on straight and never veers from any path he chooses to go down, except in the event of a better opportunity presents itself. He is dependable and if he makes a promise, you can expect him to keep it.

He is loyal and honest, which some people find to make it very easy for them to open up to him and talk to him about things. He's never been the vidictive type he would never share anything anyone told him in confidance. He does not, under any circumstances, stand for lies. If you are found to be lying to him, you may as well consider yourself nixed from his life.

He is not shy by any means, but he is more reserved these days. He had his reckless streak in high school and his early 20s, but he's outgrown the 'look at me' stage and has since segued into a very comfortable, content phase in his life. He is calm and level-headed in most situations and it takes quite a bit to make him angry.

Romantic Persona: Hayden is a bit old-fashioned in his romantic relationships. He is very affectionate once the basic walls and awkward early stages are broken through. He's very aware that you get what you give and a relationship is all about give-and-take.

He is the kind of guy that does indulge in the sweet romantic gestures, but he tries not to go too overboard. Overall, he is just very much the kind of guy most girls dream of, the kind of guy you actually can take home to mom.

{Personal History}

On September 24, 1981, Hayden Sutherland was born into a privliged life to parents Chase and Pamela. The eldest Sutherland child was doted on and spoiled to the fullest extent possible. He was a relatively easy baby to care for, had his typical wild toddler years and when he was 8 years old, in a twist of fate, Hayden was joined by a baby sister, Hanna. Her arrival was greeted with more enthusiasm than could have ever been expected, as the doctors had predicted her to be a boy and now with the addition of a baby girl, the Sutherland family was complete.

The two Sutherland children grew up with the very best of everything; the best clothes, the best toys, the best education. Anything they ever dreamed of was virtually at their fingertips and they never had to want for anything. Even at an early age, it was clear that Hanna would be a bombshell, much like her mother always had been. She was practically a life-size Barbie doll in some ways. Hayden on the other hand was taking on a lot of his father's personality traits, though really coming into his own as well.

When high school came along, Hayden was a force to be reconned with. He could charm the pants off of just about anyone and that gift of gab was something that often helped him get out of trouble. That is not to say he didn't land himself in plenty of trouble. Hayden was a package deal. He had all the looks, charm, and intelligence he'd ever need to get by. He wasn't in the top of his class, as he was less book-smart than some, but he was clever as they come. There was still something missing, though. He had nothing in his life that he was truly passionate about.

In his Junior year, Hayden was in need of an elective and at random, he decided to give photography a whirl. Truth be told, he chose it because he expected it to be a class that did not require much effort, however he quickly found that was not true. He also found that he actually enjoyed the class much more than he expected. And suddenly, he had a passion.

Come time for graduation, Hayden had a scholarship to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, where he went on to study photography. It was uncommon at this time in his life to find Hayden without a camera in his hand. It was during his time there that he met Autum Britton-Jacobson. He needed models for one of his projects and she happened to be the one that waltzed into the studio to answer that need. After a short explanation about the project, Autumn agreed to be a model for the project. The two of them just sort of clicked and when that initial photoshoot was over, as she changed back into her own normal clothes, Hayden found himself rambling on to her in a way no other girl had quite ever managed to make him ramble. Seeing where he was attempting to go with the conversation, Autumn agreed before he was even finished. The pair had "issues" so to speak, that they may have to face, the age difference, the fact that theirs would be an interracial relationship, but they didn't care. They liked each other and that's all there was to it.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, Hayden followed up with a 12 months internship at the Museum of Modern Art and he did a bit of freelancing on the side. Establishing a name for himself in New York of all places was not an easy task and it would not be all that accurate to say that he did, but what he did manage to do was get a very nice portfolio going. It was around this time that he and Autumn were debating moving in together. They knew, realistically, they would need a house big enough to accommadate their respective work, as it made more sense to have a space of their own rather than making a ridiculous commute to an outside studio somewhere.

During their house-hunting adventures, Autumn's best friend Kristie and a few others were planning on moving to Myrtle Beach, where Kristie planned on opening her own bakery. The discussion was a quick one and it was soon decided that they would be tagging along, partially due to the fact that Autumn just couldn't bear to think of her life without the best friend that had been in her life since the pair of them were toddlers. The fact that Hayden's younger sister, Hanna, had already made a move there was all it took to cement the idea in his head. Packing up and a bit of house-hunting later, they were all moved off the beach life in South Carolina.

These days, Hayden is doing more freelance work and starting to get things put together to start his own photography business. He is still in the very early marketing stages, but things are moving along quite nicely and he hopes to have things up and running by Fall of 2012.

Hayden is extremely protective of his little sister, always has been, which can cause a little sibling rivalry every now and then, but for the most part, the two are as close as can be.

autumnrose - Long-term Girlfriend
Hayden and Autumn have been datng for 4 years. Their relationship is a solid one, despite some of the discrpencies they've faced because of their 8 year age gap and the fact that some people still don't like the idea of interracial relationships.
